THE DARKER SIDE OF BELFAST WALKING TOUR

MURDERS, GHOSTS AND BODYSNATCHERS - The Darker Side of Belfast's History

This tour promises to open your eyes into the dark side of Belfast's past. You will walk the cobbled streets of Belfast's Victorian red light district and discover amazing facts about the people who once lived there. Old time residents ranged from the notorious grave robbers who preyed on the nearby Clifton Street Cemetery right through to those whose circumstances were so bad they had to sell their urine and become known as the 'Piss Poor.' In these narrow streets you will hear of terrible tragedies some of which led to a few of Belfast's most famous ghost stories. You will also stand on the site of the original Belfast Castle which was burned to the ground killing all those inside as well as the site of Belfast's executions which ranged from straight forward hangings right through to those who were tore apart in front of cheering crowds. If you like your history gory, horrible and blood thirsty then this is the tour for you.
